More about this product:
The 12.3 L water filtration system is one of the largest ZeroWater models. With the Ready-Pour™ tap, you can easily pour yourself a glass of water. This system is perfect for home or office use and provides enough water for cooking with filtered water.
WHAT IS TDS? TOTAL DISSOLVED SOLIDS
TDS measures the amount of dissolved solids, such as minerals, salts, and organic compounds, that enter water when it comes into contact with rocks and other surfaces. The TDS index may include various compounds, including calcium, magnesium, iron, sodium chloride, and sulfides, commonly found in tap water.
Elevated TDS levels can affect the taste and appearance of water.
Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) are minerals, salts, metals including lead, chemicals, fluoride, etc., that contaminate drinking water.
ZeroWater technology is the only water filtration system that removes 99.6 % of dissolved solids, equivalent to the TDS of purified bottled water.
FILTRATION STAGES
In the first stage, ZeroWater’s activated carbon and oxidation-reduction combination removes the chlorine taste typical of tap water.
The ion-exchange stage removes nearly all dissolved solids, such as aluminum, lead, zinc, nitrates, and more.
Three additional stages ensure water quality reaches “000” on the included lab-grade TDS meter:
1st stage: Coarse filter to remove fine particles and sediments
2nd stage: Distributor to maximize contact time
3rd stage: Multi-layer system with activated carbon and oxidation-reduction alloy
4th stage: Complex ion-exchange cycle
5th stage: Non-woven membrane for fine particle removal
WHEN TO REPLACE THE FILTER?
Filter lifespan cannot be precisely determined due to varying water contamination levels.
A free TDS meter is included to help monitor water quality weekly.
NOTES:
-
Do not use untreated or microbiologically unsafe water.
-
Municipal tap water is generally safe to drink.
-
Filtered tap water is tested in an independent lab, compared to major filter brands.
WATER CAPACITY:
The TDS meter shows dissolved solids in ppm (1 ppm = 1 mg/l).
-
002–050 ppm: ~150 liters
-
051–200 ppm: 95–150 liters
-
201–300 ppm: 55–95 liters
-
301–400 ppm: 30–55 liters
